At 3:30 am Saturday morning Hampshire Fire Protection District was dispatched for a Structure Fire in the 100 block of Briar Glen Ct. On arrival personnel found a three story 7 unit townhouse under construction, with 3 units fully involved, additional buildings that were under construction as exposures, fire spreading to lumber piles and 3 - 500 pound propane tanks next to the Fire building. Pingree Grove responded with Hampshire on the initial dispatch as Auto Aid. Three large diameter hose lines, two with ground monitors and a master stream from Hampshires Truck were deployed. Pingree units were assigned, Chief 1201 Safety Officer, Deputy Chief Bravo Division Officer, and Engine 1213 to Fire Suppression, deploying a ground monitor. The alarm was up graded to a Box Alarm. The fire was under control at 4:40 am. 4 units were destroyed and a 5th unit had minor damage. Pingree Grove units were on the scene until release by Hampshire Command. There were no Injuries and the fire is under investigation.
