Yesterday at 4:36 Pingree Grove & Countryside Responded for an Accident with injuries at McDonald and Rt 47. While enroute dispatch notified units, that the call was being upgraded to Extrication. On arrival personnel found a car and Semi-Truck Accident with Heavy Damage and one person pinned in the car. Rt 47 was shut down, a second Ambulance was requested from Burlington and an Engine from Hampshire. A Medical Helicopter was also dispatched from LifeNet. Extrication of the patient was extended due to the damage done to the car. The patient was removed and transported to the Hospital. The other driver signed a medical release. The scene was turned over to Campton Hills Police and is under investigation. Route 47 was closed for about 6 hours and was reopened at 10:30 pm.
