Last night at 11:56 pm Engine 1214 responded Mutual Aid to Elgin at Rt 20 and Highland Woods for a Vehicle Accident. 1214 was the First Fire Vehicle to arrive finding a Single Vehicle Accident, with the Vehicle off the road and on its Side. The Driver was Pinned in the Vehicle and Needed to Be Extricated. 1214 Securing the Vehicle and Started Extrication. 1214 was assisted by Elgin Personnel on their arrival. Extrication was completed and the Patient was flown by helicopter to a Level One Trauma Center.
