Yesterday evening, Pingree Grove & Countryside
Fire District's area was slammed by a Severe
Thunderstorm with High Winds. During this time,
from 5:47 pm until 7:45 pm the Fire District
responded to 10 calls. We responded to Vehicle
accidents, Wires Down, Burning Wires in Trees
and along the roadway, and a Transformer
Explosion. Along with this there were many Trees
that were down blocking the roadways. Many of
our residents were also without power.

Responding for Pingree: Engines 1216 & 1212,
Medics 1251 & 1254 And Chiefs 1201 & 1202.

Assisting Pingree was: Elgin Engine 3, Kane County
Office of Emergency Management, Pingree Grove
Police and the Kane County Sheriff.
