4th of July Barn Fire

Today, at approximately 4:05 PM, the Pingree Grove & Countryside Fire Protection District (PGCFPD) responded to a report of a barn fire in the 9N000 block of Corron Road. Fire unit 1214 arrived promptly at the scene at around 4:12 PM.

Due to the severity of the fire, a mutual-aid request (MABAS Box) was made at approximately 4:51 PM, bringing additional firefighting units to assist. By 5:16 PM, the situation was under control, and the MABAS Box was struck, allowing all units not already on the scene to return to their stations.

We commend the swift and efficient response of our fire crews and the support from neighboring departments. No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
