Accident with Injuries

Last Night at 5:58 pm Pingree Grove & Countryside responded for a head-on accident at Route 20 & Marshall Rd. While enroute companies were advised that a person was ejected from a vehicle. A Medical Helicopter was put on stand-by. On arrival personnel found a two vehicle head-on accident with heavy damage involving a semi-truck and a pick-up. A second and third Ambulances were dispatched along with a LifeNet Helicopter. One patient was transported to a Level One Trauma Center by helicopter, one patient was transported by ambulance to a the Hospital and one patient signed a medical release. There was a diesel leak from the truck that was contained by fire personnel. The scene was turned over to the Kane County Sheriff's Police and is under investigation. Rt. 20 was closed for an undetermined time due to the Police investigation.
