On Saturday August 8th Pingree Grove Fire District Firefighters Participated in Burn Training hosted
by the Fox River Fire District. Members were able to do training under live fire conditions. The training
consisted of scene size-up, fire attack, search & rescue and ventilation. Praticipating Departments
were Fox River, Hampshire, Burlington, South Elgin and Pingree Grove. This was valuable training,
most of the live fire training firefighters see is in a training tower and having a building like this allows
much more realistic fire scenarios.
