At Last Nights Board of Trustees Meeting Pingree Grove
& Countryside Members were Awarded the EMS Call of
the Year for 2022, and the Call of the Month for January
2023, from Phil Laier and St Joseph's Hospital's EMS
System.

The Call of the Year was an Accident involving a Vehicle
and a Horse, from September 8th, 2022 (See the Story
and photos in our News Archives). Firefighters preformed
a Difficult Vehicle Extrication and the patient was flown
out by a helicopter from the scene to a Trauma Center.
At this call we were assisted by Fox River & Countryside
Fire District.

Honored at the Meeting was: Chief Stout, D/C Howell,
F/F Carlini, F/F Rissman from Pingree Grove and Lt
Sutherland Jr from Fox River. Unable to attend was:
Lt Heinz, F/F Marshall, F/F Newby, F/F Wells from
Pingree Grove and Lt Constantino, F/F Dizonno and
F/F Manjarrez Jr from Fox River.

The Call of the Month was for a Medical Call that was
Text Book Care of a patient by a new Paramedic and
an EMT working on the scene of a Medical Emergency.
Assisting them with Patient care after a delayed response
was a Engine Company.

Honored at the Meeting was: Medic Abatangelo and Lt
Demes. Unable to attend was F/F Ramirez, F/F E. Demes,
F/F Garcia, F/F Mckillip, F/F Newby and F/F Schraft.
