Last night the Pingree Grove and Countryside Fire Protection District Board of Trustees swore in AC Christopher Howell. AC Howell grew up in Chicago and has lived in Roselle since 1992. AC Howell has been in the fire service for 36 years. He started his fire service career in Central Stickney in 1983. He has worked at Stickney, Itasca, Roselle where he retired in 2016 after 25 years, and Fox River And Countryside FPD.

During his time in the fire service he has held many positions such as Pension Board (23 years), Foreign Fire Tax Board (5 years), Union President (4 years). He was a founding member of the Regional Haz-mat team and MABAS division 12's Haz-mat team. AC Howell was deployed to Katrina with the Illinois MABAS task force.

AC Howell has three children a daughter Starlyn and 2 sons Bryan and Nolan.

AC Howell will be a valuable member to the fire district. Congratulations AC Howell on your appointment.
