| Yesterday at 4:30 pm Pingree Grove & Countryside responded Auto-Aid to the 3600 block of Daisy Ln in Elgin, for a Vehicle Fire with the Vehicle possibly in a garage. On arrival Pingree 1214 reported a Heavily involved Vehicle Fire outside the garage with exposure problems. 1214 personnel pulled a 1.75" attack line and had water on the Fire in less than a minute and a half. 1214 had also obtained a positive water supply (Hydrant) and used about 400 gallons of water on the Fire. The Fire was Under Control/Extinguished in about three minutes. 1214 assisted arriving Elgin units with overhaul and cooling of the vehicle. |
