Brush Fire

Saturday April 3rd the Pingree Grove and Countryside Fire Protection District responded for a brush fire in the area of Route 72 and Big Timber Rd. On arrival, companies found a large out-of-control fire that was threating houses. The call was upgraded to a Second Alarm with special requests for Mutual Aid. No houses were damaged and approximately 100 acres were burned. Pingree Grove responded with Engine 1216, 1213, Brush 1233, Ambulance 1251, Chief 1202 and 1203. Assisting with vehicles and personnel were Burlington, Carpentersville, East Dundee, Elburn, Fox River Countryside, Genoa-Kingston, Hampshire, Hanover Park, Huntley, Rutland Dundee, South Elgin and Streamwood Fire Departments.
