Today during the EMS Week Lunch at St Joe's Hospital, Pingree Grove & Countryside was awarded the 2024 Call of the Year for the St Joe's Hospital EMS System. the Award was presented by Phil Laier, the EMS System Coordinator and presented to the Pingree Grove Personnel That were on the call and at the lunch. The Call was a Vehicle Accident with Extrication on July 18, 2024, at MacDonald and Rt 47. There were
a total of two patients, one needing Extrication. Three Heavy Wreckers and a Helicopter were called to the scene to assist. Extrication took 1 hour and 20 minutes. The Patient was flown to a Level One Trauma Center. The Formal Presentation will be at the Fire Districts Board of Trustees Meeting May 21.
