Friday night at 11:54 pm Pingree Grove & Countryside was dispatched for an unknown outside fire investigation at South Starks. On arrival personnel were unable to find any problem. Dispatch updated the location to Rt 47 and Thurnau Rd. On arrival personnel found a 20x20 area with two large piles of cut wood burning and a large brush fire adjacent to a building at the 14N000 Block of Thurnau Rd. Due to the strong winds and the amount of fire a first level Box Alarm was requested for brush trucks, and a 5th Alarm was requested for tenders. 1201 arrived and took Command, 1202 was assigned Water Supply & Staging, 1402 was assigned Operations and 1301 was assigned Safety. Engine 1213 pulled the 2.5" Skid load and a 2.5" Blitz Fire Line. Water supply was set up using multiple Porta-Tanks with Engine 1214 Drafting/Pumping. Upon Hampshire Brush 1438's arrival, they set up their master stream. Responding For Pingree Grove: Assisting Pingree: Covering Pingree Grove & Countryside's Stations: |
