On Wednesday at 00:20 AM the Pingree Grove Fire Department received a call for a barn fire on Muirhead Road. Upon arrival of first-in units, the structure was fully-involved. On scene mutal-aid was provided by South Elgin, Burlington, Hampshire, Elgin, Elburn, Rutland Dundee, Fox River, West Dundee, Huntley, and Hanover Park. Crews from Carpentersville and Streamwood filled in at Pingree's station 4. Cause of the fire is under investigation.
